The Back2Basics success model was formulated on the basis of nutrition science, fitness science, counseling and guidance principles, psychology, lifestyle patterns of the proven weight loser, and mind-body-spirit wellness concepts.

No other weight loss program encompasses all of the components delivered by Back2Basics.  The pursuit of successful lifetime management of weight and health is maximized with proper support and guidance. Professional level counseling from someone who has been certified by a Registered Dietician to design nutrition plans, and also learned to “walk the walk” can be powerfully effective.

This is not going on a diet, it is learning a lifestyle. Learning the basics about nutrition, fitness, wellness and self awareness is key to success. A unique incorporation of massage and wellness to reduce stress, promotes health and weight management in ways proven to be essential to lifelong change.

Guidance is based on extensive large scale study of the proven, successful weight loser who sustains the lifestyle change, long after the typical dieter has regained weight.  These successful people represent less than 5% of all individuals who attempt weight loss, so let’s copy them!

Lifestyle and nutrition guidance is also available to people simply wanting to improve their eating habits, perhaps change their percentage of body fat, or improve their health, energy level and vitality.

Counseling
Counseling sessions can also be used for other health goals, besides nutrition or weight loss.  Some clients choose counseling for lifestyle guidance, in order to develop a more healthy and fulfilling way of life.  Some people want to reduce their stress levels or prepare themselves for a major life transition. Some want to work on improving their relationships, or want to achieve a greater balance in their life. Goals are individualized and holistic by nature.  (Unlike psychotherapy, Back2Basics counseling is more practical, behavioral, and change-oriented.)
